The time has come for Gail Barton, Chief Officer to leave Town Break after working for the charity for over nine years. In this time she has seen the charity grow and develop and expand to offer new services.
Gail said, “in the charity’s 30th anniversary year, I felt the time was right to hand the baton on and am delighted to say that Helen Duncan has been handed the baton and I wish her every success at the helm of this fantastic charity. Over the years it has been great to meet so many lovely families, volunteers, local partners, funders and staff. The team I have worked with since 2013 have been inspiring and so dedicated. It has been a great job and I have learned so much about living with dementia and have been able to see things from all sides. I am not sure yet how I will spend the majority of my time, but rest assured I will be enjoying my garden, spending time with family and friends and hope to enjoy many holidays. I aim to become a volunteer with a local charity at some point soon and I look forward to what the future holds. I wish everyone at Town Break the very best for the future”.
